What do I need to get a duplicate title sent to me?

You come to our office, we enter the request and DMV will send you a new title within about 3 weeks. You need to be the owner of the car of have a notarized power of attorney which you can download here. If you changed your address recently, we need proof of new address. Cost is $ 34.75 and we accept cash, cashiers check or money order only.

I want to sell my car now but do not have a title.

The owner of the car and the purchaser can come to our agency with proper ID and we can transfer the title without certificate if it was lost or stolen. Fees are $ 74.50 plus applicable sales tax.

I did a title transfer or requested a duplicate title at your office more than 4 weeks ago and did not receive it. Can you check on that?

When we enter your transaction into the computer, it is processed. The most likely cause that you did not get your title is that it got lost in the mail. Remember, the US postal service will return a title if your name is not on your mail box. As this is an official document they will not deliver if they are not sure you are living at a particular address. If you did not get your title after 4 weeks, please come to our office and we will process another request. We cannot do this by email or telephone, you have to come in.

How can I get a duplicate registration?

With proper ID we can give you a duplicate registration for $ 7.

My license plate was lost or stolen. What can I do?

If it was stolen, advise the police department where the theft happened. With a police report number we can get you a new plate for $ 4. If it was lost, we can replace it for $ 22.10.

What if I lost my handicap parking permit?

You can get a new one for $ 3.50 with proper ID at our agency.

 

How do I proof my new address?

Submit a copy of one of the following items showing the current address:

o Driver license

o Paid receipt for utility or telephone service

o Proof of homestead exemption

o Paid contract or turn-on order for utility service

o Rental or lease contract agreement

o Current year motor vehicle, mobile home or vessel certificate of registration

o Copy of insurance policy for motor vehicle, mobile home or vessel

o Other documentary evidence that provides independent proof of address change
