If you are moving from another state  to Florida, we will be very happy to help you title and register your car here.

Note: You have to title and/or register your car within 10 days after taking residence in Florida, you are not allowed to wait until your current registration expires

The procedure is:

If you have the title of your car:

-take your title, valid ID, proof of Florida insurance and  your car to our agency

Cost: approximately $ 220 (Title: $ 46.75, First year registration approx. $ 50, Initial fee for the  plate: $ 100,  VIN verification $ 5; cash only)

You need a Florida insurance policy. Our insurance department will be happy to assist you.

If you are not able to take the car to our agency, a Florida notary or a police officer of any jurisdiction can fill out section 8 of  the title application form which you can find here.

If  the title of your car is held by a lienholder (i.e. you finance or lease your car):

-take your registration and your payment book, bill, finance agreement or lease agreement and the mailing address and phone/fax numbers of your finance or leasing company to our agency. We also need valid ID and proof of Florida insurance. We charge $ 25 to prepare the request and follow up on it until we get your title. In the mean time we can issue you a 30 day temporary tag for $ 9. Once we get the title, we will call you and you will have to take your car to our agency for the VIN inspection.
